“Perfect Sorrento apartment!” My wife and I stayed here for five nights in October 2014 as we used Sorrento as a base for exploring the area. Very simply put - this was one of the best hotel choices we've ever made.Room: We booked one of the ground floor apartments that open on to the common terrace (a perfect spot for an evening bottle of wine under the stars). The room was comfortable and large with a queen sized bed, relatively well equipped kitchen (utensils, plates/glassware, stove, kettle, fridge) and a well appointed bathroom. We had ample space to spread out and unpack for our five night stay. The room was spotless and cleaned each day. Wifi was reasonable - a few times we had to step outside to get a better signal. Although you are very near the centre of Sorrento, there was very little noise in the evenings.Location: In a word: perfect. The apartment was just off one of the main squares in Sorrento and about a ten minute walk to the train/bus station, a five minute walk to a grocery store, a five minute walk to the waterfront and was surrounded by cafes and restaurants. It was very easy for us to use as a base for exploring Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and CapriService: This is a family run operation and we were warmly welcomed by the owner's father when we arrived. He was charming and humourous. On the last day when we were settling our bill, I had a nice chat with the owner's mother in my limited Italian and her limited English. They all take great pride in this property and it shows. It was super easy to book and email communications pre arrival were all answered very quickly. This area of Italy can be pricey, but this place is an outstanding value. Of the hotels we stayed at on our two week trip, this was the least expensive and by far our favourite. If I ever get back to this area, I wouldn't even look for another place to stay - it would be here at the Villa Elisa.

“Best place in Sorrento!!!” We recently stayed here for accommodation for us and our family. It is perfectly located if you are getting married at Cloisters as it is literally around the corner. The room we were given had its own terrace upstairs and we only had to knock on the door of Antonios mum who was happy to help with any request. We were joined a few days later by more family however some of the days we had them staying were wrong. However Antonio sorted this out for us and made a potentially stressful time into a relaxing one and allowed us to concentrate on the wedding. This place is number one on trip advisor and is easy to see why. It's centrally located, accommodation is beautiful yet very clean. The owners are a mum and son and make the best stay possible. When we come back to Sorrento we will stay again here if we can get in of course as this is going to get even more popular. Don't hesitate trust me book it you won't regret it!! Andy & Stacey

“Excellent location” Stayed in Sorrento for 2 nights at B & B Elissa. Such a great location in the centre, we parked the car and walked everywhere. You can take a boat to Capri and Anacapri. Host, Antonio who speaks very well English and his mother although she speaks only Italian, were EXCELLENT hosts and made us feel very welcome. Very cozy apartment with kitchen, living room, nice bedroom with private bathroom with shower lots of windows you could open for fresh air. Wifi accessible and free. Nice terrace area just to ourselves so relaxing!!! Overall, such a pleasant stay and good advice from Antonio!Would go back !!!!Lorraine and Phil - September 2014

“Sorrento's best little secret” This was my 4th time staying in Sorrento, and my first at Villa Elisa. Antonio and his parents are great hosts. The apartment was was very clean, convenient, and a great value. We are planning to return next year for several weeks. The apartments are centrally located but yet private for relaxing. An extra plus for us was being next to the Foreigners club. We are dancers and like to end the day with any evening of dancing.

“Perfect base to explore” My fiance and I stayed here in Sept/Oct 2013 for a week and can recommend it as a good base to explore Sorrento and the surrounding areas. The room was a perfect size for the two of us and we enjoyed the use of the courtyard to eat and relax. The room was cleaned every day by the cleaner, and although her English is poor she is very friendly and easy to work out what she is saying. Villa Elisa is in a perfect spot in a plaza just off the main square in Sorrento and is excellent value for money. When visiting the Amalfi coast, get the bus to Amalfi, explore the church and then get back on the bus to Positano. There isn't much (apart from the church) in Amalfi but Positano is beautiful. Spend all your time there. Ensure to go to the top of Vesuvius (cheap tickets can be bought from the train station). Capri is a beautiful island too, be sure to get there early and walk to the top (it's a long and steep walk but worth it for the views). You can also get a boat trip around the island which is worth it (note they only take cash). We didn't go into the lagoon as don't feel we lost out, but def worth the boat trip. Pompeii is worth a visit, but also take the time to visit Herculaneum (Ercolano), it's smaller than Pompeii but more detail as it was affected differently during the eruption.

“Couldn't ask for better” My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in June and we were delighted with our stay. The pictures online don't do it justice. Our room was spotless, spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. There was also a cleaner that came in every day, just like a hotel! The location was fabulous, beside everything i.e. restaurants, beach etc..I would highly recommend.

“Everything you expect and more!!” We spent 9 nights at the villa Elisa and couldn't have asked for more!! We were made very welcome upon arrival and during our stay. The location was ideal, everything we needed was within walking distance. We were in a ground floor room which was really big, with air conditioning and serviced thoroughly on a daily basis. The outside courtyard was lovely for sitting in the evening with a glass of wine (or two). We also had use of the small sun garden which was a little added bonus. It was a little noisy with traffic from the square early evening but this died down by the time we went to bed. Only other slight negative is the hair dryer in the bathroom wasn't very powerful, therefore it took me sometime to blow dry my long hair. BUT in all honestly, this is a very minor point and if that's all we to complain about, I believe it goes without saying that the villa Elisa is fantastic. We'll definitely be back :)

“Charming Italian guest house” We came back from staying five days in Sorrento at Villa Elisa. Antonio and his parents were wonderful hosts and we couldn't ask for a better location or place to stay. The villa is located on historic Piazza Sant' Antonio with everything in Sorrento within easy walking distance. Beautiful churches, restaurants, Piazza Tasso, the Marina and a slice of Italian life are all there. As you enter through the gate, you come into a beautiful courtyard of plants and flowers along with tables and chairs. We would sit here often and eat our breakfast we cooked in our kitchen or relax with a glass of wine. Our room was the Dahlia room on the ground floor with a large bed, one large bathroom and a half bathroom, in room safe and fully equipped kitchen. We went to the local Deco supermarket and bought items to cook. There are plenty of good restaurants around as well and lots of places to have a coffee and pastry, Antonio provided lots of useful information about Sorrento and the surrounding sites to see. He recommended a private boat tour done by his friend Andrea to the island of Capri. It was the perfect way travel to the island on Andrea's beautiful boat and he took us all the way around. We had a couple of hours to explore Anacapri and Capri.Antonio's parents Mario and Pinella were helpful and such a joy to talk with. Their rooftop deck is an excellent way to enjoy the view surrounded by their garden and plants. You can easily travel to other sites such as Pompeii, Vesuvius and the Amafli Coast from Sorrento. Grazie Antonio, Mario and Pinella for your graciousness and we will definitely come back again.

“A fab start to the holiday” A huge thank you to Antonio for making our stay so wonderful. Villa Elisa is a lovely villa right in the heart of Sorrento and yet so quiet and tranquil as soon as you close the gate and enter the courtyard garden. The accommodation had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean. Both Antonio and his father who greeted us are amazing hosts and were very attentive and helpful. We would highly recommend Villa Elisa to anyone wanting to base themselves in Sorrento while taking day trips to Amalfi, Pompeii and Mount Vesuvio. We certainly hope to return and will encourage other people to stay here return. Thank you so much Antonio.Room Tip: Our room opened up directly onto the courtyard which was perfect to sit and eat.

“perfect apartments” We stayed at the Villa Elisa for 2 weeks. We actually changed apartments halfway through due to late booking - Antonio was incredibly helpful throughout. The Villa Elisa is superbly located right on the Piazza Sant'Antonino. This is only a few mundred metres from the main square but has a very different atmosphere. It doesn't have the throngs of tourists the Piazza Tasso has but is much quieter and more ""authentic"" feeling. It is very quiet at night. There is a bar next door which I used to get takeaway coffees from each morning and the other way is a restaurant which we got take away pizza and salad to eat in the courtyard. The train and bus station is a 10 minute walk and all the central restaurants, shops etc are very near. The port for boats to Capri/Naples etc is just down the hill and there is a bus stop right outside. The apartments were a good size and kept immaculately clean and the courtyard is a lovely space to sit and relax. The bes were very large and very comfortable. Antonio and his family were lovely and always around to ask if you need anything.Overall we had a fantastic stay there and would definitely stay again if we returned to Sorrento

“Hidden gem” We stayed for four nights here at towards the end of the season in October. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and overall is good value for money. The road is quite close, but the noise is not noticeable. Rooms have air conditioning and tv. The courtyard is a lovely place to sit and eat and/or drink. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Sorrento.

"Al centro di Sorrento" Io e mio marito abbiamo pernottato due notti ad inizio Gennaio 2014. Cortile splendido, camera e bagno ampi, accoglienti e pulitissimi, cucinotto funzionale. Posizione strategica al centro di Sorrento, con affaccio su Piazza Sant' Antonino. Simpatia e grandissima disponibilita' da parte di Antonio e della mamma. Grazie!

“Bougainvillea Apartment” What a find! This is a really nice villa apartment in the middle of Sorrento. It is on Piazza San Antonio which is busy during the day but very quiet at night time. We loved people watching (and bat watching during the evening!).This apartment is on the first floor of the villa and has its own terrace as well as a further sun terrace on top which has a dining area and sun beds as well as lots of plants - the smell of basil up there was heavenly. There is one bedroom with a double bed, hanging space, drawers and a safe. The living room is spacious and the window overlooks the piazza. The kitchen is on the small side but was great for us as we only made sandwiches and cooked breakfast– it has a good size fridge. The apartment is very clean and serviced every day. The towels do not match but that adds to the cuteness of the place.Antonio and his family are very friendly and were always helpful. I was really impressed when he managed to get immediate information from the water company when the pressure went low – it certainly couldn’t have been done so quickly in the UK (and the water pressure was restored within ½ hour).Thank you Antonio - I would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Sorrento.

“Charming with Wonderful Owners!” I traveled with family and friends and we rented three rooms. Everyone in our party loved the accomations. I especially enjoyed the courtyard. We ate breakfast each morning in the courtyard and drank wine out there in the evenings. The wifi worked perfectly, owners were incrediby friendly and accomdating, and the location was perfect! We were there in the winter and also enjoyed the heated floors and towel racks.
