“Simply perfect!” We stayed 4 nights and it surpassed our expectations. The situations is ideal - it's situated off a beautiful square (with our own Dali outside the window side-by-side with St Antoninio!) but within 10 minute walk of the train/bus station, supermarket for all the essentials and about a two minute walk to a lift (one euro) which takes you to the ferry port for Capri and beaches. Firstly, the apartment is divine. We had the upper appartment which consisted of a small, very well equipped kitchen, a living/dining room with TV and window overlooking the square with orange trees, separate bedroom with walk in closet and included a safe and a bathroom. The apartment also had air con in the main area and bedroom along with heating if required. We had our own veranda but the whole ground area was a beautiful courtyard. The apartments were inside a locked gate but there was never any fear of crime. Antonio, his mum and Louisa, the cleaner, were all very pleasant and helpful but not intrusive. I know some people found it noisy at times but we didn't experience it as being noisy but we were aware of Sorrento being alive! We spent every evening walking the beautiful little lanes and enjoying the shops and food! Also, public transport is cheap - take the trains to Pompeii and Herculaneum which are really cheap (concessions, bring ID and you get in half price!). Also, the hop-on/hop off bus along the Amalfi Coast is about £6.50 for the whole day. Well worth every penny, but start early, it's a long day, but oh so worth it!

“Great place to stay” We stayed here for 12 nights in June 13 and can only speak very highly of the whole set up.The upstairs rental is the one to have,a lovely patio outside the front for watching the square. On the roof of the rental you're own sun deck. The rental has a kitchen which was well stocked with utensils and cookware.Double air conditioning units one in the bedroom and the lounge.Good size lounge and bedroom. We have visited Sorrento for around 9years stopping in half board hotels and apartments but we will return here again as the price is fair and owners more than helpful. This is a gem at the price so if you have any sense head on down.Room Tip: Antonio the owners son is happy to arrange transfers from naples airport he you contact him.

“Villa Elisa holiday” While travelling in Italy recently we were lucky enough to be able to stay at the Villa Elisa, with some friends. We found Sorrento clean and friendly and our accommodation - right in the heart of Sorrento- fulfilled our expectations. Our rooms were well equipped, comfortable and cleaned daily. The kitchens enabled us to prepare our own meals when we just wanted a quiet evening 'at home'. Thank you Antonio for a welcoming and memorable stay in Sorrento.

“It is like staying with family” No monogramed towels or those that match fro that matter but a wonderful place. Run by Antonio and his parents with some friendly housekeeping staff. Antonio was wonderful. Excellent English and he helped us by getting in touch with some relatives in an out lying town and arranging a car before we arrived and was available when needed when we were there. The rooms all come with kitchen facilities including a variety of pots, pans dishes and flatware. Some have full size refrigerators and some have smaller typical motel types. If you like staying in places other than chains (where you could be in any city in the world and you could not tell) and like small places, a court yard and great location but quiet rooms this is a must.

“Lovely Apartment in Sorrento” The location is on a charming quiet piazza near the center of town. Bars, restaurants and grocery all nearby. We stayed in the upper apartment with a nice view of the square. Antonio and his parents are completely available, friendly and helpful and the apartment comfortably furnished and well equipped. Ask them for recommendations on restaurants favored by locals. A very reliable place to stay.

“Great location and very friendly and helpful hosts”We stayed in Villa Elisa in the middle of Sorrent for 3 days in November 2012 and enjoyed it very much!! Our apartment was comfortable, well equipped, homely and clean. It was close to the to the train station and - for us important - to the ancient sites we wanted to visit. The hosts Antonio and his mother were absolutely nice and helpful. *Antonio, thanks again for the transfer to the airport in the middle of the night :-) * We will stay there again and recommend Villa Elisa to anybody!!

“Home from home in Sorrento” My two daughters and I spent just over two weeks here in June, and couldn't have made a better choice! Antonio and his family were so welcoming and were always on hand if needed. There was however never any need, as all went perfectly. The top-floor apartment which we had was most comfortable, tastefully and simply furnished, the kitchen had all we needed for the few times we cooked there. Breakfast on the terrace surrounded by plants and overlooking the square was one of the highlights of the day. Luisa, who came to clean every day, is a treasure! I would definitely return here, it was so much a home from home, we felt we were with really caring family. When the time was up we didn't want to leave... We will be back!

"Beautiful oasis in Sorrento center!" From my first inquiry to check out was seamless. Antonio was there to meet us at the apartment at the arranged time. He wanted to make sure our stay in Sorrento was perfect. He showed us the workings in the apartment and the bonus that I did not see when booking, free wifi Internet. He also told us about the area being central to everything. If we needed anything to not hesitate to contact his mother who lives upstairs. The apartment we had was very nice and tastefully decorated, two beds, full bath, half bath and full working kitchen. Plenty of seating at either the kitchen table or the dining table. Right out the door is a very pretty courtyard with plenty of tables and chairs. Upstairs there are two sun beds with a table and chairs. The area is central and a five-minute walk to the train station. Antonio and his mother his mother are very lovely and went out of their way when I had an allergic reaction. Antonio took me to the pharmacy and if I needed more then medication he would make sure I received medical care. I would not hesitate to stay at apartment Elisa again or recommend the apartment to family and friends. I am very happy I stayed at apartment Elisa!

"Pearl of Sorrento" My 17 year old daughter and I stayed in the Dalia unit for a week and it was wonderful! We felt very safe and found antonio (the owner's son) to be an invaluable help. The unit was very clean and was tender to every day of our stay. We did alot of cooking so they provided us with dish soap and often washed up any remaining morning dishes. The courtyard was a beautiful area to sit and enjoy our meals or converse with the other visitors. Antonio helped us book a private tour of Capri which I highly(!) recommend, it is well worth the Euro's to do Capri this way. Antonio was also helpful in recommending other attractions and found his recommendations to be dead-on. The location is superb. Very close to the main square and just a block from the cliff area.

“Don't overlook this one ... it's an Excellent Choice!” Grazie Antonio ....MOLTO BUONA. Such kind and friendly hosts who bend over backwards making for such an enjoyable stay. Antonio and his family obviously love what they do! The apartments are cleaned daily, furnished with everything you could need (and if it's not in there, they'll get it for you), comfortable and no shortage of hot water EVER. It's very competitively priced and so is really good value for money. What a fabulous holiday! All in all, I'd highly recommend Villa Elisa.

“fingers crossed we will be back” The apartments are a real find right in the heart of Sorrento, minutes from Tasso square one way and the harbour the other. We had two studio ground floor apartments and they both were spacious, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean (although for me the bed was a bit to hard and I needed to sleep on top off a folded blanket). The courtyard is perfect to enjoy breakfast, alfresco meals or a quiet evening drink. Antonio and his family are great hosts, really friendly and helpful without being intrusive. There is a little bit of traffic noise as its just off a fairly busy road but it certainly didn't bother us at all. The apartments are close to the train station for trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum, which are definately worth a visit and so easy to get to its not worth booking an organised tour (Its a straight line from Sorrento. Pompeii is right outside the train station and you can get tickets right at the entrance to save queuing when you get off the train, Herculaneum is directly down the hill when you get outside the station and is sign posted). You can also get a bus from outside the train station to go to Amalfi and Positano which are also worth a visit. We bought a three day travel pass and did the trips over three days. From the harbour we got the ferry to beautiful Capri,(the cable car is a must) again easy enough to do on your own. Antonio was easy to corrospond with and arranged our hassle free, comfortable transfers to and from the airport. We had two lovely friendly taxi drivers who were happy to point out the sights and give us information about the area. We thought Sorrento itself was beautiful and a great base for sightseeing. May is a great time to visit as its not to hot for sight-seeing although we did need a warm cardigan in the evenings. If we are lucking enough to go back in the future we would definately return to Villa Elisa as the apartments were every thing we wanted and Antonio and his family so welcoming.
